Allagoptera leucocalyx

Common Names:
Known as 'motacucito ' in Bolivia, and 'imbur ' in Paraguay.

Distribution & Habitat:
Open scrubby areas of Paraguay, Bolivia, Brazil, also marginal in north-eastern Argentina.

Description:
It is a small, scruby palm that grows in sandy soils in exposed locations, sometimes near to sandy river banks.
