Widespread throughout southern Thailand, Malaysia, Sumatra, and Borneo. Found on rainforest slopes and ridge-tops.

Description:
A medium sized, trunkless palm with large, simple, undivided leaves that can be up to 6m in length, coming directly from an underground rootstock.
