Distribution & Habitat:
Found in mangrove and saltwater swamps from eastern India thru to the Malay Peninsula and Sumatra.

Description:
An attractive, small to medium sized, clustering date palm to 5m tall, with slender trunks and slightly plumose, arching leaves, with narrow, drooping leaflets that are light green above, and grayish below.

Culture:
Sunny, moist position in tropical thru to warm temperate regions. Frost tolerant.
