Awards Winner of the Best research paper award of IIFET 2010 held at Montpellier, France during 12-17 July 2010 for the research paper ‘Impact of Sanitary and Phytosanitary (SPS) measures on Indian Seafood Industry: A Macro and Micro Level Analysis’ The award package includes certificate of honor, Cash Award, $2000 travel and lodging grant, and free conference registration. Recipient of travel grant award by United Nations University, UNU-MERIT (Maastricht, The Netherlands) to participate in the GLOBELICS 2010 International conference at Dakar, Senegal during 6-8 October 2009. GLOBELICS (Global Network for Economics of Learning, Innovation, and Competence Building Systems) is an international network of scholars who apply the concept of "learning, innovation, and competence building system" (LICS) as their framework and are dedicated to the strengthening of LICS in developing countries and emerging economies. The research paper entitled ‘Spatial smoothing techniques in field experiments’ published in the Journal of Indian Society of Agricultural Statistics (co-authored along with CT Jose and Ravi Bhat) has been adjudged the best among the papers in the field of Designs of Experiments in the year 2009. Recipient of Dr. R.L.Narasimha Swamy Memorial Award along with V.Krishnakumar and H.P.Maheswarappa for the best second best original research paper entitled ‘Economic evaluation of high density multispecies cropping system in root (wilt) disease affected coconut (cocos nucifora) area in Kerala’ during PLACROSYM XIX held at Rubber Research Institute of India, Kottayam from 7-10 December, 2010. Awarded the collaborative research project “Spatio-temporal analysis of crop pattern changes in India” by the ministry of statistics and programme Implementation under the scheme “Awards & fellowships for outstanding and meritorious research work in statistics” - (2003-2005) Awarded “A grade” by the National Academy of Agricultural Research Management (NAARM) based on the overall performance in the 74th FOCARS. Obtained second rank and cash award in Hindi Pragya examination conducted by the Department of Official Language, Ministry of Home affairs, Government of India in July 2002.
