Significant achievements	• Associated with the development and release of three coconut varieties (Kalpasree, Kalparaksha and Kalpa Sankara) for the root (wilt) disease prevalent tract.• Associated with establishment of five coconut seed gardens in five districts of Kerala for the production of disease resistant/tolerant seedlings.• Studied the interaction of variety and weather parameters in fruit setting upon artificial pollination in coconut.• Identified the suitability of mite infested seed nuts collected from disease-free palms for raising coconut seedlings.• Identifying reproductive character (over lapping of male and female phase) as one of the important criteria in identifying typical palms in any dwarf variety of coconut.
