Pasighat is located in the foot hills of East Siang District of Arunachal Pradesh. The soil type is sandy loam to sandy clay loam. Inherent fertility of the soil is medium to low with medium water holding capacity and moderate organic matter content. The pH ranges between 5.5 to 6.5.
