General weather condition of Pasighat (28.30 N, 95.20 E, 152 m MSL) is hot and humid during short summer season extending from March to May with an average maximum and minimum temperature of 350 C and 240 C respectively. Average diurnal variation of RH during the summer season is within 60 % to 95 %. Rainy season of the region is from May to September with an average annual rainfall measuring 5000mm. Prolong but mild winter season of the area extending from November to February, records average maximum and minimum temperature of 250 C and 120 C respectively with average RH ranging from 40% to 65%.

Pasighat is located in the foot hills of East Siang District of Arunachal Pradesh. The soil type is sandy loam to sandy clay loam. Inherent fertility of the soil is medium to low with medium water holding capacity and moderate organic matter content. The pH ranges between 5.5 to 6.5.
